Monthly classes and jams are a part of the regular programme

Check the What’s on page for dates

Contact improvisation has always been essential to Wainsgate Dances co-founder, Charlie Morrissey’s movement practice, and he both teaches it, and invites teachers from around the world to faciltate CI related workshops and jams, including: Nita Little; Karen Nelson; K.J.Holmes; Makisig Akin & Anya Cloud; Hugh Stanier, Katye Coe, Andrea Buckley, Lewys Holt and others

The monthly class and jam usually happens on the last Sunday of the month, but it shifts around, so check our homepage and social media for updates.

There is a two hour class, followed by a break, and then a couple of hours for jamming. Open to all levels of experience.

“How fantastic to live in a little semi-rural town and have such amazing opportunities to dance on our doorstep… So great to be a middle aged woman who  only discovered that I love to dance as an adult to find that it is not too late to enjoy that – to take the learning seriously but to have fun too.

Thanks for bringing such great teachers to the valley and creating something really inspiring and inclusive at Wainsgate.”
